Monroe Street is the Place to Be

Experience the magic of Monroe Street on the first Friday evening of each month. The participating boutique shops and retail stores will be open late so you can enjoy all that our unique slice of Madison has to offer. And don't forget to plan on dinner and drinks in our many locally owned restaurants. From shopping pop-ups to ice cream and free outdoor movies, there’s a little something for everyone.

MUSIC BY THE LAKE RETURNS FOR THE SUMMER!

Celebrate summer with live music and food carts in Wingra Park during First Friday on Monroe Street. Enjoy tasty food and treats from local restaurants and spread out your picnic blanket or rent a boat and float to bands. You’ll want to hang out in our beautiful park and enjoy summer vibes and music all evening long. Sponsored by the Dudgeon Monroe Neighborhood Association and Wingra Boats.

Scheduled from 5-8 pm the First Friday of every month, June through September.

- Kids Music 5-6 pm

- Kids activities 5-7 pm

- Main band 6-8 pm with a short intermission.
